Blue Heron Course
Par 72
A favorite to Ford’s Colony Members, the Blue Heron course is a continuous 18 holes consisting of long and challenging par 3’s, fair par 4’s and intimidating par 5’s. The course has new Champion Bermuda greens which provide the smoothest surfaces throughout the year. Many of the holes have generous fairways carved out of dense wetlands which provides a unique course layout that is home to many different species of birds and fish.

The longest of the three courses at Ford’s Colony Country Club, the Blue Heron course is typical Dan Maples — gorgeous to look at, fun to play, yet difficult to score on. The par-five fourth hole is considered the toughest on the course with a meddlesome water hazard lurking behind a fairway bunker off the tee to the right. This hazard will also force many golfers to play it safe on their second shot which creates a tough approach to a small, well-protected green.

Black 405 | Blue 383 | White 340 | Green 310
